LIVESTOCK
CARE AGREEMENT
By signing
below, I agree to provide humane treatment to my livestock project animals. This
includes but is not limited to proper feeding, watering, and cleaning of pens
throughout the entire fair week. In the event the superintendent notes improper
care of cleanliness of my pen, I accept the following consequences which will
occur:
1. FIRST
OFFENSE:
Pen to be red-tagged. Cleanliness or proper feeding must be resolved within
three hours. A form, signed by the superintendent and exhibitor, will be
completed and turned in to the fair office by the superintendent. Parents and/or
leader will be notified of First Offense.
2.
SECOND OFFENSE: Defined by the
cleanliness or proper feeding not being corrected after the First Offense and/or
the second incident during fair week. Exhibitor will have $25.00 deducted from
the exhibitor's Livestock Sale Check and/or premium monies. A form will be
completed and turned in to the fair office outlining the offense, signed by the
superintendent. Parents and/or leader of the exhibitor will be notified. In
cases where the animal did not sell at the auction, the exhibitor's premium
monies will be withheld.
3. THIRD
OFFENSE:
Defined by the cleanliness or proper feeding not being corrected after the First
Offense, and notification that the Second Offense has been enforced and/or the
third incident during fair week. The exhibitor will not be allowed to show
livestock at next year's fair. A form outlining the offense will be signed by
the exhibitor, parents and/or leader, and superintendent and filed with the fair
office. Parents and Exhibitor must present to fair board.
If Third Offense takes place prior to the Jr. Livestock Sale, the
exhibitor will be required to remove his/her livestock project from the county
park immediately. The exhibitor will forego any premiums on said project and the
right to sell his/her livestock at the Jr. Livestock Sale. If the livestock
project has placed grand or reserve in its project area, the exhibitor in lieu
of removing their project from the county park will be
fined five percent of their sales price at
the Jr. Livestock Sale, in addition to the Second Offense fine.
I further
agree to clean my pen (s) and feed and water my livestock prior to 10 a.m. each
day of the fair. I further agree to clean my pen (s) as necessary throughout the
day, and feed and water my livestock by
