Class 22 Intermediate Calf, born since 12-1-08, but before 2-28-09.

Class 23 Senior Calf, born since 9-1-08, but before 11-30-08.

Class 24 Summer Yearling, born since 6-1-08, but before 8-31-08.

Class 25 Junior Yearling, born since 3-1-08, but before 8-31-08.

Class 26 Senior Yearling, born since 9-1-07, but before 2-28-08.

Class 27 2 year old Cow, born since 9-1-06, but before 8-31-07.

Class 28 3 year old Cow, born since 9-1-05, but before 8-31-06.

SECTION 5 – JERSEY

Same classes as Brown Swiss – Breed Place Ribbons given.

 

SECTION 6 – AYRSHIRE

Same classes as Brown Swiss

 

SECTION 7 - RAILBIRD JUDGING

                No Premiums.

Division 1 19 yrs. and under

Division 2  Over 20 yrs.

                 The class to be selected by the superintendent.

SECTION 8 - ADDITIONAL CLASSES

All breeds shown together.

Class 32 Best udder of show. 

Class 33 First Year Showman Award.  No premiums.

Class 34 Club Herd 3 animals from each club to be selected and submitted in writing to the Supt.  No later than Friday of the fair by 10 a.m. No premiums, traveling trophy awarded.

Class 35 Milk Production-This class is for all 4-H dairy cattle with production records regardless of breed. Bring forms DH1-230, DH1-210. Production records announced at show. Required for this class are completed record or extended record of 90 days or more expressed on a mature equivalent basis. No trophy.

Class 36 Costume Class - Guidelines available. 

SECTION 9 - CLUB HERDSMANSHIP

No Premiums

A traveling plaque (donated in memory of James Sutermeister) and a cash donation of $50 will be given to the new dairy barn fund in the name of the winning club. 

SECTION 10 - COVER DESIGN CONTEST

No Premiums

Category A:  Hand Drawn

Category B:  Computer Drawn

Contest open to all dairy cattle members, one design may be entered in each category.  No copyrighted characters, design should be simple, neat and to the point.  The following title must be used:  St. Clair County 4-H & Youth Fair, Dairy Show, Friday, July 31, 2009

Cover size must be 5.5 inches wide by 8.5 inches long with a .5 inch margin on all sides.  Design must be on white paper with black ink.  Do not fold.  Print name, address, and club on back of entry.  Send by July 1st to:   Donna Wojtysiak, 13177 Bryce Road, Emmett, MI  48022
